We negotiated a major Urban Regeneration project securing, in Phase 1, 487 new homes for social rent and intermediate ownership with associated dwellings for older persons, assisted living and the disabled.
We have also obtained permission for Phase 2, for a further 270 dwellings.
The permission comprises a seven year Neighbourhood Renewal Project covering an area of 12ha providing a range of dwellings, shops and community centre.
A Master Plan was developed to provide a mix of housing and tenures, to modern design and environmental standards using sustainable construction and renewable energy generation.
A key component was the community engagement with residents, community groups and other Stakeholders, comprising a series of public events and drop-in sessions, individual neighbour notifications and consultations over a period of 6 months.
We were responsible for management of the application, organisation of specialist reports, community consultation projects, collating and monitoring the submission of the planning application and negotiating the planning obligation.
As a result of effective management and organisation the application was determined within the 13 weeks statutory period, including completion of the s106 planning obligation and Highways Agreements.
